Our crunchy calciworms bird feed is an incredibly sought after food for wild birds. These worms are not only rich in protein and fats, but as the name suggests they are also high in calcium. Wild birds will happily eat as many as they can get their beaks on. calciworms are a premium bird feed, meaning that they can get more expensive than other options, but they are a fair bit cheaper than other alternatives such as mealworms.
These calciworms come in handy 500g packs, that are both easy to use and to store. This bag is priced at 400g but gives you an extra 25% free. This highly sought after food is loved by the most garden birds. They are also loved by other wildlife as well, such as hedgehogs!

DELIVERY INFORMATION
Fitzpatrick Fuels offer a local delivery service, which covers Huddersfield, and some of the surrounding areas.
Our minimum order for local delivery is £100, and we deliver free to most Huddersfield postcodes. If your delivery address is outside of our local delivery area, please call our team on 01484 653 768 for a delivery quote.
Local deliveries will be carried out in our own vehicles, by our friendly and helpful team. Our vehicles also have crane-off facilities to easily unload bulk bags and crates of firewood.
On our website, you can order any product, in whatever quantities that you like. Once your order has been processed, the team at Fitzpatrick Fuels will build your customised pallet, with the products in the quantities that you ordered.
We aim to deliver to you as quickly as possible. However, during the winter period, please allow for a 3 - 10 day delivery period to avoid disappointment.
You will be notified of a delivery date once you have placed your order. In the unusual event that your delivery date needs to be changed, you will be informed promptly. You can expect your delivery between 8:00 - 18:00.
Please note that we cannot give you a time to expect your delivery. If you call us on the morning of your delivery, we can give you an estimated time frame.
It is not necessary that you are home when we deliver, and if that is the case, you must advise us accordingly as to where to leave the product. We cannot be held responsible in the event of any loss or damage if you instruct us to leave the goods in your absence. We will endeavour to deliver the goods where instructed, please note, heavy items such as crates of logs and bulk bags will be offloaded via a crane and will be left adjacent to the vehicle.
As a general rule, all of our deliveries will be made by the roadside. However, if we can make the delivery easier for you by dropping the goods in a specific place on your land, we will try our best to accommodate. If we bring our vehicle onto your property, as per your instruction, we cannot be held liable for any damage.
If you live in an area with difficult access, you need to inform us prior to your delivery date so we can ensure to use the right transportation. If any of the below refers to your delivery address, please inform us:

NATIONAL DELIVERY
At this time, we no longer offer nationwide delivery through our website. The cost to deliver via third party transport companies has increased drastically, and fuel surcharges are changing weekly.
Returns
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 14 days to arrange a refund. It is the customer's responsibility to return the order of goods and we will refund you the cost of the product order within 30 days. We are unable to refund you for the cost of return.

Tips For Feeding
When feeding your birds there are a few things you can be doing to help attract a healthy balance of wild birds to your garden. Firstly It is best to have several feeding sites around the garden to prevent overcrowding at any one location. It is best to fill feeders in the morning to give garden birds energy at the start of the day when they are looking for food.
Please be aware that different birds have different feeding habits, whilst many birds will use a feeder others prefer a table or a ground feeder. Lastly position your feeders or table in an open space with clear views to all sides to prevent potential predator attack.
Hygiene & Water
To properly keep your birds safe there are a few things you can be doing to help keep them healthy. Firstly regularly clean your feeders to help reduce the spread of disease and the build up of any toxins. Remove any stale food, clean with water and a mild disinfectant, afterwards leave to dry thoroughly.
Birds need fresh water not only for drinking but for bathing too. Even in winter water is vital for birds to bathe and to keep their feathers in pristine condition, which helps to keep them warm through the cold nights.
Feeding Garden Birds
By providing birds with food you will bring them closer to you, bringing you the joy of watching birds throughout the year. Your food could also make a huge difference to endangered species, helping them to both thrive and continue to breed successfully.
Garden birds should be fed all year round, however during autumn and the winter months feeding is vital when naturally found food is in short supply. Feed the birds regularly and continuously throughout the year as birds quickly become dependant on your for food.
