We are now offering the option to have high quality kindling in large bulk bags! These bags offer great bang for your buck, giving you a huge amount of kindling for your money. Not only is this a great price, but it is an outstanding product as well! With the wood being kiln dried and on the Ready To Burn scheme. It is easy to light because it so dry and the ideal size for kindling.
The only downside with this product is the size and we recognise that not everyone has room for a builders bag. Which is why we also have kindling available in small nets as well.
We make up these bags specifically choosing small pieces of wood that are ideal for kindling. These bags are made out of a mix of hardwood, which is currently Ash & Beech. Our logs are FSC Certified, and sourced responsibly from a reputable producer, offering consistently good quality, along with the peace of mind that your fuel is being sourced in the right way.
All of our firewood is certified with the Ready to Burn scheme, our certificate number is: WS480/00001. This gives you peace of mind that all of our firewood is properly kiln dried, and has a moisture content of 20% or less.

DELIVERY INFORMATION
Fitzpatrick Fuels offer a local delivery service, which covers Huddersfield, and some of the surrounding areas.
Our minimum order for local delivery is £100, and we deliver free to most Huddersfield postcodes. If your delivery address is outside of our local delivery area, please call our team on 01484 653 768 for a delivery quote.
Local deliveries will be carried out in our own vehicles, by our friendly and helpful team. Our vehicles also have crane-off facilities to easily unload bulk bags and crates of firewood.
On our website, you can order any product, in whatever quantities that you like. Once your order has been processed, the team at Fitzpatrick Fuels will build your customised pallet, with the products in the quantities that you ordered.
We aim to deliver to you as quickly as possible. However, during the winter period, please allow for a 3 - 10 day delivery period to avoid disappointment.
You will be notified of a delivery date once you have placed your order. In the unusual event that your delivery date needs to be changed, you will be informed promptly. You can expect your delivery between 8:00 - 18:00.
Please note that we cannot give you a time to expect your delivery. If you call us on the morning of your delivery, we can give you an estimated time frame.
It is not necessary that you are home when we deliver, and if that is the case, you must advise us accordingly as to where to leave the product. We cannot be held responsible in the event of any loss or damage if you instruct us to leave the goods in your absence. We will endeavour to deliver the goods where instructed, please note, heavy items such as crates of logs and bulk bags will be offloaded via a crane and will be left adjacent to the vehicle.
As a general rule, all of our deliveries will be made by the roadside. However, if we can make the delivery easier for you by dropping the goods in a specific place on your land, we will try our best to accommodate. If we bring our vehicle onto your property, as per your instruction, we cannot be held liable for any damage.

NATIONAL DELIVERY
At this time, we no longer offer nationwide delivery through our website. The cost to deliver via third party transport companies has increased drastically, and fuel surcharges are changing weekly.
Returns
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 14 days to arrange a refund. It is the customer's responsibility to return the order of goods and we will refund you the cost of the product order within 30 days. We are unable to refund you for the cost of return.

Are kiln dried logs environmentally-friendly?
Sourced responsibly, Fitzpatrick Fuels’ range of kiln dried firewood is approved by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) – an international, non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the sustainable management of forests.
How to use:
As always, before lighting a new fire, be sure that your stove has been cleaned from last use. Having too must ash residue in the stove restricts airflow, and makes it harder for you to light the fire.
To start, place a handful of kindling in the stove and add a couple of firelighters. Light the firelighters with a long match or lighter. From here, add another handful of kindling on top of the firelighters.
Once your kindling is burning with a flame, add 2 – 3 logs to the fire. Once the logs have caught fire, reduce the amount of airflow directed into the fire, this will make the logs burn for longer.
Add more logs as necessary.
