Pink Link - Pallet Network Deliveries

We offer a local delivery service on our vans (Huddersfield and Halifax), however for deliveries to locations that are out of our reach they are sent out via a pallet network service. This service is through a 3rd party company, with that there comes a few changes to how the delivery process is done.

We just wanted to give you a run down on some important information regarding your delivery should it be brought out through the pallet network service. It is important to take note of the following, as failure to do so could lead to issues at a later date when your delivery is due.

Delivery Fee

The delivery fee is a fixed price which is calculated based on location. The delivery fee covers the use/space of the pallet on the vehicle, whether the pallet is a quarter full or completely full, the delivery fee remains the same.

Vehicle Restrictions

Typically the delivery will be brought out on an 18 tonne vehicle. If this is not suitable, due to the delivery area being a narrow road; cul-de-sac; positioned on a steep hill or limited access for example, please give us a call on either 01484 653 768 or 01484 218 418 as soon as the order is placed to request a smaller vehicle.

Please note that you need to inform us of any overhanging branches as the vehicles have curtain sides which can be damaged by encroaching trees and shrubs.

If the delivery cannot be made due to an issue with access and you haven’t made us aware of this beforehand then it is possible to rearrange the delivery on a smaller vehicle for a re-delivery fee (please see below).

When your order is delivered, it will be delivered on a wooden pallet. The pallet will be offloaded using a tail lift and a pallet truck then left kurbside for you. As seen above, if the address is on a hill, the driver will not be able to unload the pallet as it is unsafe to do so. The pallet will not be taken away by the delivery driver, it will be yours to dispose of as you wish.

Arranging Delivery

When you place your order you will receive an email to say that your order has been dispatched to our palletways courier. The pallet network company will call to arrange a delivery date once they have received your order. We aim to try to get your order to them the day after it is processed where possible. If you haven’t heard anything from the pallet network company within 3 working days of placing your order, please give us a call and we will chase this up for you.

In order for the delivery to be made someone needs to be present to sign for it, unless we have in writing from you. Without writing confirmation the delivery will not be completed.

Once your order has left our hands, the pallet company is responsible for any delays that may occur with your order. With the current shortages of delivery drivers, this is causing delays with orders being delivered. Please keep this in mind when placing an order, we are unable to resolve a delayed delivery due to this matter as the drivers are not employed by us.

At this moment in time, we aim to get your order to you within 3 to 10 working days from the date you place your order. However, as stated above, the pallet network company is a 3rd party company not run by us so if they are experiencing delays we unfortunately cannot help that. We therefore, do not accept any responsibility for delays on deliveries once they have left our hands as this is down to the pallet network company.

Re-Delivery

If the delivery is attempted and cannot be completed due to the address being unreachable or due to no one being present to accept the delivery resulting in the delivery needing to be attempted again then a fee is applicable. In the case of attempting a repeat delivery you will be charged a re-delivery fee of £25. The pallet network will call to arrange for the re-delivery.

IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to ensure the delivery point is suitable for delivery as per these instructions.  Please give us a call if you are unsure.
